Coronavirus – Covid 19.   March 2020.

Virus spread mitigation procedure changes.

Regency Glass has acted in accordance with Public Health England guidance with respect to the Coronavirus. Using the all staff media platform, we are informing all staff to follow the advice of washing hands frequently for a minimum of 20 seconds, to use a hand sanitizer, use wipes/sanitizer provided at access points within the company premises and contact distancing to prevent spread of the virus. PHE guidance posters are displayed across the site giving relevant advice.

We have an isolation room where staff can hygienically check their temperature and call 111 for advice. Should any member of staff need to self-isolate or be otherwise absent due to the Coronavirus, Public Health England will be contacted, and their specific instructions followed.

We have enabled all staff that can work from home to do so.

Our new factory and office suite are spacious, clean and offer the minimum 2m distancing for all staff.

We have altered shift patterns to prevent one shift coming into contact with another, limiting potential to contaminate each other. Our production equipment is mainly semi-automatic and staff can work at more than 2m distances in normal practice.

We have a flexible approach and response process to assist the country in limiting the spread of this Virus.

Production stock planning.

As a follow on from Brexit planning, Regency glass have good stock levels and a solid supply line to ensure that our production will not stall.

Anticipating potential border and import issues due to Brexit in January this year, our key imported components are at higher than usual stock levels, with no current interruption to usual supply.

We are in weekly contact with our key suppliers and there is currently no issue with logistics. We are ordering and receiving goods as normal.

The majority of our key glass products are manufactured in the UK and there is also no current risk to the stock provision.

Regency do not anticipate production issues due to material supply.

Together with our staff measures and professional strong approach to company management, including production planning, it is very much ‘Business as Usual’ here at Regency.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries or concerns.
