Saint-Gobain UK furnace rebuild
Saint-Gobain are on schedule with their UK production facility ‘cold’ repair. This is a £30m investment into the UK market, bolstering glass supply with increased volume and greater efficiency.
The rebuild has meant that glass production is halted whilst the old furnace is demolished and rebuilt. All glass is being imported from ‘sister’ plants across Europe. The coating line and laminating line are still operational and production is currently at good levels.
