Regency Glass are a member of  the Saint-Gobain cullet scheme

Waste glass, known as cullet, from our production process, is recycled into new glass. This is collected in special bags and reloaded onto delivery trucks to be taken back to the float glass production line in Goole.

This helps reduce carbon emissions from the process, as glass melts faster than the raw materials and helps speed up this process.  Recycling also prevents this valuable commodity from going into landfill. Currently, new glass sheets are approximately 45% recycled glass. The aim is to increase this, subject to the availability of cullet across the industry.

Recyclable glass from the glazing industry is restricted to non laminated products, however, techniques of recycling laminated glass are being developed.
