Saint-Gobain will complete a major construction project to completely rebuild and install a new state-of-the-art float glass furnace and upgrade other factory areas.
The project represents the largest industrial investment by the Saint-Gobain Group in the UK since the Eggborough plant was built in 2000.
Saint-Gobain Glass said the investment will secure the long-term supply of high-quality, high-performance glass for the wider UK construction sector's window and door market.
The installation of the enlarged, which will replace the existing furnace that has reached the end of its design life, is expected to be completed by late summer capacity furnace.
