Regency Glass Ltd complete 7500th unit for Manchester contractRegency Glass Ltd, one of the largest sealed unit manufacturers in the Northwest of England, recently completed the final sealed unit for the refurbishment of Victoria Square, Manchester – a prestigious listed building on the edge of the city centre.
Steve Massey, Sales and Marketing Manager for Regency Glass comments, ‘The project had a six month rolling delivery schedule with product delivered to ensure there were no delays to the installation program. The sealed glazing units were high specification Argon filled products that help bring this late Victorian building firmly into the 21st century. Trying to maintain the look that this old building has, but having to conform with the many regulations that put restrictions on the products that may be used, presents problems in areas such as insulation and energy saving.’ Wayne Fitzmartin, Regency Glass Ltd General Manager adds, ‘We are certain that our constant adherence to the required standards and having BSI EN1279 part 3 accreditation for Argon filled units assisted us in gaining this prestigious contract. We offer full BSI accredited Kitemark products that meet all the current and proposed Building regulation requirements. We are ready and assisting our customers with the WER scheme that will become a standard way of building regulation compliance in 2010.’ Mark Green, Joinery Manager at Emanuel Whittaker (Joinery) Limited stated, ‘Regency Glass were professional and supportive to help us achieve our customers delivery requirements, whilst being competitive and providing a good quality product.’
