In less than one years’ time all European IGU manufacturers will need to comply with the requirements of the Construction Products Directive (CPD), failure to comply and to get your product CE marked will mean that an IGU manufacturing company will not be able to legally sell the product.

Regency Glass is pleased to announce that samples submitted for testing to BS EN1279 Part 2 have successfully met the criteria. Regency Glass have now received Kitemark certification (KM 22357) for BS EN 1279, Part 2:2002 from BSI which includes acceptance of the System Description (Part 1) for Plain, Leaded, Georgian and Colour Film units.

Regency Glass currently operates a documented Quality Plan which is being updated to include all details specified in the Factory Production Control (FPC), Part 6 of BS EN1279 Electronic PDA data recorders and a computerised process control system will allow inspection and tests performed at both the Material Control and Process Control stages to be analysed providing key performance indicators on a short term interval basis.
