Obscure

Obscure glass is available in sheet sizes of 1320mm x 2140mm. Requests for width's greater than 1320mm e.g. 1400mm x 1200mm can be accommodated by turning the sheet, thus altering the direction of the pattern. In such cases considerations should be made for all pattern glass being glazed adjacent to the turned piece.

As you can see the image on the top as a pattern running horizontal and the image on the bottom as the pattern running vertical.

Please also notice that we will only allow leading on both sides of the following obscure glass:

CONTOURA, PELERINE, SYCAMORE, CHANTILLY, REGENCY STIPPLE

The reason for this is that the glass on these patterns is smooth enough for the lead to stick onto. The other obscure glasses may be leaded but only on the outside.
