EDI

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is a communications instrument for improving the speed, quality and reliability of business data exchange. The main target of the EDI is not to just replace one communication method with another, that is, replacing paper faxes with electronic data. Regency Glass has a dedicated software support team that can help if any problems are encountered. This ensures major advantages to the customer such as:

Time Saving
EDI saves time by eliminating the handling of paper that you the customer would need to print of and then fax over to us. Also with the use of EDI it lowers the number of phone calls that are necessary to insure that the data is entered correctly.

Cost Saving
Although there are initial costs involved with designing, developing and implementing a new EDI system, these costs can be recouped and the system can pay for itself many times over by the efficiencies garnered by the use of EDI. Also Personnel at both ends of the electronic transaction that would otherwise be involved in the handling of paper generated can be redeployed to other tasks.

Improved Accuracy
EDI reduces the number of times the same data needs to be redundantly entered into multiple computer systems. Basically by using EDI you email us your order and we import it, not reproduce it.

Reliability
By using e-mail and not faxes you will get a conformation straight away if it as been sent successfully. This method is also 100% correct unlike faxes were sometimes the fax says it has not sent when actually it has or vice versa.

At the moment Regency Glass has a number of customers benefiting form EDI, if you are interested don't hesitate to contact us.
